Keep all your private papers locked up in a personal strong box and never “ever” tell any of your friends or acquaintances personal information like what your mothers maiden name was. Another smart thing to do if you have roommates or shady relatives is to get yourself a post office box and have all your mail delivered there. Then go out and buy yourself a nice paper shredder. Get the type that dices the paper into confetti instead of long stripes of paper.

Finally if your a senior citizen then you come from a completely different generation with completely different values then the younger generation of today. Talk to a cop down at your local police station and he or she will tell you that they see it all the time now. Some young man or woman that has taken an older relative to the cleaner by ripping of their identity or life savings. You can still love your younger relatives, just don’t trust them.
